This time around we have many things to share with you, so let's get right to it.

Independent magazine season is in full bloom. Our latest arrivals are a breath of fresh air that will instantly help you reach that spring state of mind.
While political leaders advise against international travel at the moment, This Orient invites you on a tour into the depths of Middle Eastern and North African art and culture. If you’d rather stay right where you are, MacGuffin continues to explore the life of things, taking a closer look onto and into our daily cockpit: the desk. All work, no play? Luckily, it’s game time at SOFA Magazine and their new issue will get you ready to take a chance.
If the culture of vinyl records, the importance of capital in the fashion industry or the tasty sensation of putting an egg on top of your meal is more your jam, we also got you covered. Finally, through its lens of art, style, design and culture, Modern Matter keeps asking the important questions such as: “Is anyone normal out there?”

NUR FÜR PERSONAL – WERKSCHAU VON STEFAN BIRCHENEDER – GUDBERG NERGER Publishing
Konrad Ross – GUDBERG NERGER Publishing

Our latest publications showcase the works of two artists different in style but equal in brilliance.

Konrad Ross is a South African visual artist living and working in Germany, whose paintings and drawings focus on themes of identity, exploration, physicality, and ritual. His eponymous book showcases a current selection of his most important works alongside written words by Rolf Lauter and Brian Poole.

Stefan Bircheneder is a German painter who examines industrial ruins and deserted workplaces in his photorealistic mostly large-format oil paintings, applying a glaze technique. In his series of works “Nur für Personal” he hints at the workers’ presence in his images of social spaces within factory settings, but never depicts them, only their traces.

COOL! WHAT ELSE HAVE YOU GOT FOR ME?

Today and tomorrow the Forward Festival kicks off its inaugural event for the 2020 season in Munich. Forward is all about connecting, exchanging and being part of an exciting experience. Within six years, the festival has become a platform for the entire creative industry and under the motto “Digital Eyes“ it’s about to be more interactive than ever before: digital, analog and yet, anything but binary. Time to embrace both your pre-internet and your post-internet brain. Because it’s not about what’s better or worse, it’s about what you make of it.
