Dear friends,
I hope you are all doing well! It is hard to believe, but in just over a month my second book, The Inner Chapel, will be here. There really are no words that adequately capture the mix of emotions I feel anticipating this. It includes emotions such as excitement, fear, joy, and nervousness. This book is so personal to me because it is living out a promise I made to my grandfather before he died. I promised him I would share with others what we understood about a relationship with Jesus. I believe in the message of this book with my entire being.
Writing is not always an easy call. I like writing the words and stories, but the vulnerability of putting it out into the world is not my favorite part. It feels like birthing a child. I carried the book inside of me for so long, letting the Holy Spirit marinate and unfold its creation. Now, it suddenly will be outside of me for others to read, to respond to, and to share. It is bringing it out into the unknown.
This community of readers means so much to me. I treasure your gift of accompaniment and your prayers for me and my family. It feels like our book already as so much of what is in there was born from our time together through spiritual direction, retreats, and writing this blog.
I cannot imagine carrying this book out into the world without your help. I would like to invite you to join The Inner Chapel Launch Team! Together, let’s birth this book into the world and spread the Good News!
What is a Launch Team?
A launch team is a dedicated group of readers and friends assembled online to be ambassadors for The Inner Chapel: Embracing the Promises of God. I am going to ask for some help with specific tasks, like praying for those who read the book, reviewing the book on Amazon, and sharing the book and its message within your sphere of influence.
What would I need to do?
As a launch team member, you would support and promote The Inner Chapel by:
- Praying for the people reading the book
- Reading (and applying) the book to your life
- Sharing about the book on your social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and/or Pinterest)
- Posting a review on Amazon, Goodreads, and other online retailers the weeks of April 13 and April 20
- Finding other creative ways to tell someone about the book and how it has impacted you
- Sharing our faith and our Good News with others
What benefits do I get?
- A free galley copy of The Inner Chapel sent by my amazing publisher, Loyola Press, before it releases to the public. For those of you who may not know (like me when I first published a book), a galley copy is a printed, spiral bound copy of a book. One important note, Galley copies will only be sent to those residing in the continental U.S.
