World Water Day 2020: Propelling Our Blue Economy
Thursday, March 19
9:00am - 12:00pm
Gleacher Center
450 N Cityfront Plaza Dr Ste 1, Chicago, IL 60611

World Water Day is a global day of action focused on the sustainable management of freshwater resources. Here in the Midwest, our lakes and rivers are among our most significant economic assets, alongside our powerhouse universities, corporate anchors, and growing startup and investment scene. This year, join Current and 220+ regional water leaders spanning industry, academia, startups, and policy for a half day of inspiring conversations designed to propel our Blue Economy forward. From attracting and growing water-intensive industries to building the next-generation technologies that will solve the world’s water problems, we’ll explore trends influencing water-based business in our region. Come meet, learn and collaborate with the people who will define what water means for our region’s economy, ecology and residents in this new decade.

Due to growing concerns about the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), please note that our team has been working in close coordination with the Gleacher Center staff to ensure that this event is as safe as can be. The following measures will be implemented on the day of the event:

  • Automatic alcohol based hand sanitizer dispensers will be available at the lobby entrances
  • Individual hand sanitizer packets or hand sanitizer dispensers will be available for use at food and beverage buffets and registration desks
At this invite-only event, attendees will enjoy a breakfast reception, networking and multiple forms of engaging programming.
