Hello!

Welcome to this month's Adventures with Jesus email!

We may be getting much more time with the chidren in our lives in the coming weeks, so I pray you'll find some inspiration and ideas below to equip you to use this time creatively as well as to energise your relationships with each other, God and the world around you!

There's digger fun, an opportunity to wonder, an hilarious book to discover and more...

In these times of uncertainty, let's feast on the presence, peace and truth of God; Father, Son and Spirit. Let's intentionally enable the children in our lives to do the same. They will take the lead from us.
We are all significant in God's family; needing each other, loving each other, bringing his kingdom together.

Enjoy the adventure!
Sarah

Dig It!
Explore the strength we have when we team up with Jesus! Ideas for all ages!

Ephesians 6:10 be strong in the Lord and in His great power

Play: Do you have some digger toys? Get them moving, lifting, dozing, pushing, carrying, digging and more. Have fun playing and exploring what they can do together using bricks, stones, pine cones, dried pasta and more!

Chat: about the strength of diggers, trucks and other similar vehicles. They can move and lift really heavy stuff! 'What have you seen them do? What is your truck doing now? Your digger is so strong; it's pushing that huge stone... it's knocking down the tower of bricks... It's lifting up all these pasta pieces... Amazing!'

Or watch videos of trucks and diggers together: try this cartoon one here or real life diggers here.
Or challenge your older child to do strength tests: how many books, bricks, toys, shopping bags (!) can they carry or how many sit ups, squats or star jumps can they do in one minute?

Unpack: Did you know that Daddy God says we can be strong in Him? Just like strong vehicles can do tough jobs and not give up, we can team up with Him to do things that are hard, tricky or tiring. What do you find hard or tiring? What do you feel is too difficult for you? You could find and read Ephesians 6:10 over your child.

Explore: bible accounts where the seemingly small and weak won out with God's strength and might. Check out David and Goliath, Gideon's tiny army or how a few followers of Jesus turned the world upside down! Can your child think of any to check out? Chat about how even small actions done with faith in mighty God can have a BIG impact!

Pray: Let's thank God that He is always with us and He gives us His strength. Pray for any situations where you need this amazing power or ask Jesus for ideas on how you can team up with Him to see His power and strength at work! Then have a go, receiving His strength for you now. Celebrate progress!

Adventure Time: Get comfy, invite Holy Spirit to be with you and ask Jesus to show you how He sees you... What strength is in you? WOW!  Imagine doing something you find hard or tricky with Him... What is He doing, saying, showing you about this... Spend time with Him... see, hear and sense His strength and love for you!
Your younger child could imagine going in Jesus' digger, where do you go, what do you see, what is Jesus doing? Let's have an adventure with him...
Give time to share with each other and to draw or write what you saw, heard or sensed.

Do let me know any testimonies...
