Impact Debriefing Training
Impact debriefing is a process when a person is supported to reflect on what has happened to them in a particular situation. It is a container where a person can experience their own feelings and reactions, without judgement, in order to make sense of their response to a crisis or a challenging/disturbing event including on-going multiple-loss.

Statement from Dr. Eileen de Villa, Toronto’s Medical Officer of Health, regarding recent overdoses
We experienced a rapid increase in overdoses in our supervised consumption service located inside The Works. We believe this to be related to a tainted local drug supply. Our staff immediately alerted Toronto Paramedic Services to help ensure the health and safety of our clients and the broader community.
Our staff acted on this information and immediately shared information with the broader harm reduction community. Extra staff came in to help out and we extended our service hours until 11 p.m. last night. To further assist in this time-sensitive matter, there was also an increased paramedic services presence in front of TPH. We have obtained a sample for drug checking that we have sent to the laboratory at St. Michael's Hospital to understand further details. When we receive this information, we will be able to issue more clear alerts to the local harm reduction community regarding which substances should be avoided.

Social Support Network arranges trips within Toronto for people living with HIV to socialize and do something fun together. Transportation to and from the event is provided. Sometimes there may be a small cost associated with attending (for example if there is lunch involved), but organizers do their best to minimize costs.
Now in its 19th year, SNAP has raised over $4 million to support valuable programs and services for people living with HIV and at increased risk. Whether you are an avid art collector or just a fan of a fun night out, SNAP has something for you!
