<<First Name>>,
It is hard for cultures to change. Nobody likes change. There are some things that shouldn't change. Change for the sake of change is never a good strategy. Nobody has the energy (or stomach) for that.
New challenges and new contexts call for change. For this reason, missions in The Alliance is changing. What was broadly known as International Ministries (IM) is now Alliance Missions (AM). AM is made up of four specialized structures.
This is more than some name changes. This is a response to today's reality.
- The pipeline for developing new missionaries is different today.
- The process for arriving in-country is different today.
- The privilege and possibility to share the gospel are different today.
All this means we cannot engage the mission in the usual way. We must be open to the unusual. That means we must be open to change. Alliance Missions is the umbrella over four unique parts our missionaries will serve in:
- CAMA: relief work
- marketplace ministries: professional work
- aXcess: clergy work
- Envision: people-development work
Each area has one purpose in common: to enter communities as servants to earn the right to display and declare the gospel. In all the communities our global staff serve we want to have a meaningful impactful presence.
The bottom line is we want to do whatever we must do to accomplish our goal: provide gospel access for those who have no access.
