Getting young people fired up about gardening 🌾

Gardening is a great way to encourage young folks to engage with nature, to think about food, and to get some healthy exercise. We've tried to find some fun ideas to keep kids interested and learn gardening as a life long passion.

Seeds that sprout quickly, and large seeds that are easy to handle, are great tools for teaching young people about the magic of growing. We also like seeds that produce massive plants such as tall sunflowers, and giant pumpkins. Take photos of the seeds at the start of the season to compare with the enormous forms they can take.
