A Calling from Nature

Hello Everyone and HOORAY, Spring is on its WAY!

International Women’s Day is celebrated on the 8^th of March every year. It is the focal point in the movement for women’s rights.
Significance: Civil awareness day; Women and Girls day; Anti-sexism day; Anti-discrimination day. This definitely speaks to me.
Wow. This is what women are associated with by Google and Wikipedia.

International Women's Year, 1975. In 1977, the United Nations General Assembly invited member states to proclaim March 8 as the UN Day for women's rights and world peace.

Now, I love the sounds of this one! I am all about these two:

WOMEN’S RIGHTS and WORLD PEACE

Also, stated that after the Socialist Party of America organized a Women’s Day in New York City on February 28, 1909, German revolutionary Clara Zetkin proposed at the 1910 International Socialist Woman’s Conference that 8 March be honored as a day annually in memory of working women.

After women gained suffrage in the Soviet Russia in 1917, March 8th became a national holiday there. The day was then predominantly celebrated by the socialist movement and the communist countries until it was adopted by the feminist movement in about 1967. The United Nations began celebrating the day in 1975!

They go hand-in-hand like “Birds of a Feather”. Yes?

STORY TIME: in the Time Machine ….

Back to 1970 at Western College for Women. I had left the English department and was petitioning the college of 500 women for a double major degree in World Religions and Counseling Psychology.

It came down to this: I became the assistant to the new Chaplain. I taught his basic or introduction classes and led services with him. He and his wife had just left their 20 year commitment in Thailand where they led the student demonstrations. Hence, I got involved with them and started the demonstrations in Ohio to end the war in Vietnam.”4-dead in OHIO”. (The old song by Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young). Yeah, that time.

I learned from the female faculty member from Antioch College, whose husband was helping me with my Theatre minor degree, that what my Father did with my name was ‘revolutionary’ at that time. I was in my very first Women’s Liberation class, an my Father naming me “Karen Rice King” was a very ‘feminist’ thing to do.

My middle name RICE is the maiden name of my Father’s Mother.

Feminist? Well, I told my Father that I would keep that name through marriage and through my life, no matter what.

Unless I started a Macrobiotic drive through restaurant and so, just in case, I trademarked the name BROWN RICE KING at that time.

Now this story is a repeat, I am aware but with all the young and new people signing on to my Newsletter, I have a duty to you and my old happy clients and happy friends who know me.

And I don’t use the term HAPPY lightly! To this day I have only one homeowner who says that they “did not feel anything change” in their home after hosting a workshop for Homeowners and Business owners. When interviewed at length about this?They both were sleeping better than ever in their dream home.

They were communicating more clearly and more productively with each other (have no children).
The husband’s business lost one partner and he and the other partner are more successful than ever! Doubling in size within 5 years!

NOW ST. PATRICK’S DAY

St. Patrick’s Day, feast day (March 17) of St. Patrick, patron saint of Ireland. Born in Roman Britain in the late 4^th Century, he was kidnapped at the age of 16 and taken to Ireland as a slave. He escaped but returned about 432 to convert the Irish to Christianity.

This day and festival are celebrated in more countries than ANY OTHER national festival.
It means so much more to me today. Not just because of past lives, if you will allow me this belief, of being a nun and monk. Also, now that I have done 23&Me and have learned that I have a 17% Irish and British in me, it is fascinating.

I also am attuned to Celtic Indigenous spiritual practices and use some of their ancient teachings in my Shamanic practice and teaching.

Vivian and I are still planning a trip in the future for folks to travel for a weekend and engage with us in deep spiritual work, finding your creative sources, as well as writing and photography exercises.

And last, yet MOST IMPORTANT = EARTH DAY!

Earth Day was a unified response to an environment in crisis—Oil spills, smog, rivers so polluted they literally caught fire. On April 22, 1970, 20 million Americans—10% of the U.S. population at the time—took to the streets, college campuses and hundreds of cities to protest environmental ignorance and demand a new way forward for our planet.

The first Earth Day is credited with launching the modern environmental movement and is now recognized as the PLANET’S LARGEST CIVIC EVENT!

As most of you are aware of, part of my identity is as an Environmental Activist. Now, this may make your skin crawl, or it will be goose bumps!

Regardless, this is who I am, and this is what led me to develop and research EARTH ACUPUNCTURE, LLC. In fact I am Soul searching as we write this the SLEEP STUDY WITH ADULTS AND EARTH ACUPUNCTURE. I have spoken with my Science mentor, Vivian Dullien, PhD about ‘resurrecting’ the study that she had written and which she has all the software through her trusted data person.

I simply feel I may not be able to leave this great Planet without at least giving this an honest try. Which leads me to fund raising. I will not bore you with this except to say that I am researching all the possibilities! You will hear more later on this if interested.

Yet I have to add that even though testimonials on my website may be thinning a bit, it is because people in public positions in our area are hesitant to have their name out there. I have to work with my APPRENTICES about this as they find it challenging, as do I. You really won’t believe it if I could tell you who has this work done to great success, because in one case, the person has had death threats from the fracking industry. As well as her neighbors and leaders in this movement. This is from their lips to your reading.

It is so, so needed with the challenges upon us with the 5G being installed by Verizon, T-Mobile and all the natural disasters we are experiencing due to Climate Change like never before. We are also helping with the challenges associated with fracking.

The Earth is a school for cosmic learning, for soul growth, for evolution. Life is continuously presenting instruction through experience. Sometimes, the lessons are hard, filled with sorrow and pain. Perhaps a loved one leaves you through death, or to be with another.

In the midst of your despair, it may be difficult to recognize that there is something to be learned from the ordeal you are facing. Sometimes the greatest lesson of the many that this experience bring may be that of encouraging non-resistance—letting go…

It is non-resistance that allowed us to change our identity from one Kingdom to another. We start out our life in the Plant Kingdom, as the lifeblood of a tree. As we move from liquid to a solid state, we undergo a transmutation and become a bridge between the Plant and Mineral Kingdoms.

We are the embodiment of adaptability and what it can accomplish.

Let us melt the rigidity and fear that perpetuate any of your circumstances.
Become the sap. FEEL the liquid state that you become…

Resistance makes change impossible. Allowing is the key. Shift from an immobile state to one of malleability. Move freely and quickly through Life’s lessons absorbing all that they offer you.

You are the teacher. You are the student. Join the Divine Flow.

It seems to me that this message is so spot on for most of us who are awakening and re-awakening to life as it is presenting itself. Please know that you are in charge of your life and that you are no longer a victim but the ship’s Captain.

I had a session with Lee Cook this past week and a lovely lunch at the Cheese Importers in Longmont. She texted me this message later the same day:

This afternoon I received a message from the Angels: Every time that you hear the word “virus” you are to think or say this. “We are all healthy, all of us.” It will help to bring the frequency of health and wellbeing to you and shift the collective mind too good for all!
