There is understandable concern about the Coronavirus, so here is some important information:
1. From the CDC:
How can I help protect myself?
People can help protect themselves with everyday preventive actions:
• Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol if soap and water are not available.
• Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
• Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
If you are sick, you should:
• Stay home.
• Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.
• Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
2. What is Avalon doing to keep students, teachers and staff safe?
• We have hand sanitizer in each dance studio and lesson room.
• We clean the building daily.
• We have plenty of soap and water.
• We disinfect the doorknobs, equipment and commonly used items & areas multiple times daily.
3. What can you do to get ahead of this?
• Start practicing preventive actions. Avoid shaking hands.
• Parents, it would be wise to not congregate in the lobby waiting for your student. The weather is beautiful for taking a stroll. The pond at Dutch Village is nice this time of year.
• We are now able to do Skype lessons for students. Talk to Nichol for more information on this.
