Work At the Roundhouse

Thursday 3/12/20: Call for operating crew and volunteers.
We will be moving equipment from the roundhouse and the yard, so we need help from operating crew members. The tender needs to be moved and rigged to remove the body from the frame. The frame goes to stall 6 for sand blasting and coaches are coming into the roundhouse for repair work. A lot of switching to do.
Saturday 3/14/20
Saturday morning is the Rules Class for operating crew and is open to any interested member. 9:30-11:00 AM. Site will be determined by numbers in attendance. Make up class 3/18 6-9 PM
This Saturday, we will be removing material at Glenwillow station should be brought back to the Roundhouse. At lease 2 more additional run may be necessary, but we will definitely need help sorting items and putting them into storage. Any of Thursdays unfinished work will likely carryover to Saturday depending on the weather.
4070 cab work is nearing completion. Still needs some holes in the roof repaired, but this can be done before or after sand blasting. The skids of parts needs to be secured and moved into storage. There is just 3 weeks left until our first Bunny Run Open House. The shop areas need to be cleaned and cleared of unnecessary equipment.
We are still looking for volunteers to help with or take over the gift shop. If you or anyone you know is interested in helping out please contact us. Our inventory in the shop is getting low. There is an opportunity to purchase some items from a source that is going out of business, but a trip to Barberton, Ohio is required sometime during the week. Cvid19 fears. MRPS has 2 staff members working to keep common areas clean and sanitized. Volunteers are urged to help out by just using common sense in keeping things clean especially in food areas.
