Opportunity is Knocking!


The Canadian Network for NTDs is hiring an Advocacy and Policy Officer.  More information about this exciting opportunity is available on the web site of Bruyère Research Institute.  The deadline for submission of applications is 15 March 2020.

Global NTD News


1) Uniting to Combat NTDs has launched “End The Neglect” to highlight the Year of NTDs and draw attention to the 1.5 million people globally who are affected by NTDs.  How can you be involved?  Watch the video and use their social media tools to spread the word about NTDs!

2) Youth Combating NTDs is a new global youth-led organization that is working toward a world free of NTDs.  Last month, participants from 13 countries met and signed the Dar-es-Salaam Youth Declaration on Neglected Tropical Diseases.  For more information, visit their web site and follow them on Twitter @YouthCNTDs .
 
3) The World Health Organization has published a draft of the Roadmap for Neglected Tropical Diseases 2021-2030.  The roadmap will be submitted to the World Health Assembly in May 2020 and you can read the draft version here.      
 
Did you know that 31 countries have eliminated at least one neglected tropical disease since 2012?  Great progress is being made and the new WHO NTD Roadmap 2021-2030 will guide the next steps that are needed to improve the health of 1.5 billion people who are still affected by NTDs.
