Green Team Update
March 2020

Dear Friends,
It is with sincere regret that we announce the cancellation of the following events in an effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus):
The Mercer Green Fest, planned for Saturday, March 14th at the Rider University Student Recreation Center, is canceled. The Mercer County Sustainability Coalition is attempting to reschedule later in the spring.
Gardening is for the Birds, to be presented by naturalist Mary Anne Borge and planned for Monday, March 23rd at the Ewing Library, is canceled. We will arrange for the event to be rescheduled at a later date.
______________________________________________________________
The monthly Green Team meeting scheduled for Wednesday, March 25th is canceled due to the closing of the Ewing Senior and Community Center for public events through early April.
Please stay healthy and stay tuned for the rescheduled dates.
However, we do still want to pass along information that all our residents should be aware of. The 2020 Census is beginning this March, and you should soon be receiving your invitation to complete the Census in the mail. For the first time ever, you will be able to give your responses online, although you can still respond by phone or mail if you prefer. We hope that each and every household will fill out the Census, as it is vitally important in not only determining our representation in Congress and having our voices be heard, but also in making sure that the government funds we receive for vital services are distributed fairly, and accurately represent our population.
You can find all the information you need to know about the Census on the Ewing Green Team website at https://ewinggreenteam.org/2020/02/11/completing-the-2020-census-will-help-to-sustain-our-community/
