40th Mid-Year Conference is Postponed

Dear NBA Members, Partners and Colleagues,

After careful deliberation, the NBA leadership has decided to postpone the Mid-Year Conference & Gertrude E. Rush Awards Gala and Gateway to Success which was to take place from March 19-21, 2020 in Atlanta, due to concerns for the safety of all involved – related to the recent COVID-19 outbreak.

The NBA had been closely monitoring updates and recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO), as well as state and local governments. In the last week, the NBA became aware of the increasing number of travel advisories and restrictions being placed on health care providers, hospitals and institutions in the U.S. and globally and thought it was a prudent decision to postpone the conference until a future date.

National Bar Association will continue to assess any other planned in-person activities and we encourage you to visit our website at www.nationalbar.org for the most up-to-date information.

Please know that our decision was not an easy one, however our top priority is and will always be the well-being of our members, staff partners, and sponsor community. We appreciate your understanding and support as we work through the next steps. Please visit nationalbar.org  and monitor your email, for updates and answers to frequently asked questions about this postponement

We encourage you to continue to practicing safety measures as we all wrestle with this heightened crisis while lifting our country and world in constant prayer.

Sincerely,
