    March 2020
Thank you for your continued goodness towards us as a family!
Still loving our Christmas PJ's from last year's Christmas .... a friend even used one of the tops to make it into shorts for Jamie - so he could match too!

Dear Friends

We hope that your year has started well!  Can't believe we are at the beginning of March already!

Our J-Life newsletter will be out soon - so this is just a family catch up ....

We had a lovely Christmas at home ... it was nice to not be rushing anywhere.  John made us a lovely wooden Christmas tree as well as a jungle gym for Jamie.  Jordz and Nate enjoyed having friends over and having lots of beach and surf time.

We enjoyed a few days with friends of ours in Pringle Bay to bring in the New Year and Jordz and Nate went off to a youth camp at the beginning of January which they really enjoyed.  Jordz got her matric results just before leaving for camp and was very happy with them - her hard work really paid off!  Jamie started Grade 1 at his new school which has been great!  There are only 5 kids in his class and he is learning SO much!  It is a very happy environment and he has a great, experienced teacher - the Lord knew just what he needed for this year!  Nate has started Grade 10 and has had a happy term so far - enjoying friends and youth and bodyboarding.  Jordz spent a month at Camp Eden doing some of the J-Life Internship training and is home again.   She is interning at our church - involved in children's and youth ministry and will be heading to North Carolina in the USA at the beginning of May for 3 months to minister and learn from the youth ministry at Charity Baptist Church.

On a sad note, John's mom passed away in February.  She had battled with Parkinson's Disease as well as Dementia for a number of years - so debilitating and hard to cope with and tough for John's dad and the family to watch her battle.  We traveled to Johannesburg for her Memorial Service which was sad, but at the same time a wonderful celebration and testimony to a joyous life lived for Jesus. We are so grateful to the Lord for her investment into J-Life over the years in so many different ways and we are totally at peace knowing that she is completely healed and loving spending time with her Lord and reunited with family and friends that have gone before.

J-Life Summit happened in Cape Town in February.  We had our Regional directors and country leaders and their wives attend from all over Africa.  It was a massive week to put together with flights, visas, accommodation, catering, a venue etc .... but it was a wonderful time of journeying together, encouraging one another and sharing J-Life's vision for the next 10 years.  (More info and details will follow with our official J-Life newsletter)  Please pray that the Lord continues to encourage the folk who attended to boldly carry out the vision going forward.

We were due to head to Israel next week for our annual Israel trip - walking where Jesus walked ... but due to the Coronavirus pandemic and Israel's new rulings on people entering the country, we have sadly had to postpone. Please pray for logistics and for those who are obviously very disappointed at being unable to travel at this time.

Thank you for your continued interest in our lives as a family and for your prayer and financial support. We thank the Lord for you and your investment into us and the Kingdom.

Thank you
again for your generous support in so many ways!

God bless
Sending much love and thanks, John, Lorna, Jordz, Nate & Jamie
