Dear All!

We are hoping this finds you well. In this strange and challenging time, it is important to remain as connected as possible and to honour all of our wellbeing needs in new and creative ways.

The Swansea Wellbeing Centre has a wonderful programme of on-line classes, talks and sessions coming your way.

Here below is the offering for this coming week and we will send you a weekly newsletter with additional classes, courses,meditations and on line groups.

Most of our practitioners are self-employed, and these sessions form their primary source of income. Their time, wisdom and quality of teaching remain a constant and so although we are not together 'in the flesh' we will be experiencing a valuable session and an opportunity to connect from the comfort and safety of our own homes.

For those of you who are not familiar with Zoom or other technology, we would ask you to be open to giving it a try. It is free and very straightforward and will provide a much-needed vehicle for connection in the coming period.

Daisy First Aid for Parents

Online course
 
This engaging and interactive course has been created for parents, grandparents and anyone caring for babies and young children so that they can respond promptly and effectively to any first aid incident or emergency as well as giving advice on how to manage common childhood illnesses and conditions.
 
The course will give you the knowledge to:
 
•​assess an emergency situation and prioritise what action to take
•​Help a baby or child who is unresponsive and breathing normally
•​Help a baby or child who is unresponsive and not breathing normally
•​Help a baby or child who is having a seizure
•​Help a baby or child who is choking
•​Help a baby or child who is bleeding
•​Help a baby or child who is suffering from shock caused by severe blood loss
•​Help a baby or child who is suffering from anaphylactic shock
•​Help a baby or child who has burns or scalds
•​Help a baby or child who has a suspected fracture
•​Help a baby or child with head, neck or back injuries
•​Help a baby or child with a foreign body in eyes, ears or nose

Duration: Approximately 1-2 hours
Access: This online course can be completed on any PC or mobile device. You can study at your own pace and log in and out as often as you wish

Pilates classes

Tuesday morning 24/3, 10-11.15 am 
The class will be a beginner's Pilates class with a range of stretching and strengthening exercises for about 45 minutes and a 10 minute relaxing meditation session at the end. Those interested please contact Varsha by email varshavish@gmail.com

Soul Flow Yoga

Friday 9.15 - 10.15 am
Kelly's Soul Flow Yoga classes are all inclusive, authentic and welcoming. Her classes are inviting to newbies to yoga or the more experienced yogi. The practice will be strong and will create space for you to grow from the inside out. This class will focus around asanas (postures) being held for us to explore our practice on a deeper level, allowing us to to find balance within the body and mind. We will explore pranyamana (breathing), asanas and relaxation throughout the practice. Classes are welcoming to all and Kelly would love to create and hold space for each and everyone of students throughout their practice, so that they leave feeling fulfilled.

Women’s Anxiety Management drop in sessions: 

This six week course offers women experiencing anxiety an opportunity to meet and connect with other women in a safe, supportive and relaxed environment. The course is led by Joanna Williams, a highly experienced psychotherapist with a background in occupational therapy.
Sessions will incorporate elements of cognitive behavioural therapy,
mindfulness and solution focused hypnotherapy to help participants better understand their experience of anxiety, why it occurs and how thoughts and actions can influence this.
Cost £7 per session.

Start date of 6th April (with a break for Easter week. Max 10-12 people)

Love in times of Covid-19

An online group counselling session to focus on anxieties coming up for most of us around uncertainties Covid - 19 pandemic is creating in our lives. We will hold a safe and supportive space to voice and explore any unfinished business this may bring up for us and use it as an opportunity to process these as they’re brought to our attention.

We are prepared with a multi bench open room practice waiting for you at Swansea Wellbeing Centre to give you the best possible care the moment we are allowed to bring clients back into the centre. We are already interviewing Doctors of Chiropractic to join Ben Bacon, with 25 years experience and having run Wales' largest Chiropractic Rehabilitation clinic.  
If you suffer from and want relief from intractable back pain, sciatica, leg pain or severe injuries like poorly healing achilles tendonitis or carpal tunnel syndrome, then we will help you. I am Ben Bacon, available in Swansea now.
