World Book Day
Woodfield Worms make for Revolting Recipes
The pupils at Woodfield were invited to participate in World Book Day by trying out a Roald Dahl themed cake made by the 6th formers in catering. These included worm infused nests based on The Twits and mini chocolate cakes courtesy of Bruce Bogtrotter from Matilda. As well as this, the pupils incorporated the theme for the Delish cafe for staff by serving fizzy lifting drinks and a large version of the Bruce Bogtrotter cake.
Well done everyone, 'twas great fun!

School closed to pupils on Thursday 7th May - Mayoral elections
The Greater London Authority and London Mayoral Elections are due to take place on Thursday 7 May 2020. Woodfield School will be used as a polling station and no pupils will be in school on that day
Friday 26th June - last day for some sixth form students
Please note, pupils in year 14 will end the term at the earlier date of 26th June and this will also include the leavers who will not return to Woodfield for 2020/2021 term from year 12 and 13.
Emergency Contact
Due to a change in safeguarding regulations that came into force at the start of the last academic year, in addition to parent/carer details, we must have at least two other persons as emergency contacts for all our pupils. These people could be parents, a sibling aged over 18, aunts, uncles etc. If you have changed your mobile number or email address, can you advise the school office so we can update our records.
It is vital that we are able to get hold of a contact person in the case of a pupil emergency or illness. In the past we have had issues in contacting parents or guardians, which not only creates concern for the school but also makes pupils anxious.
The Keeping Children Safe in Education September 2019 document guidance has full details.
School Uniform
Thank you for your response to my request for ensuring your child is wearing the correct school uniform. I have noticed a significant reduction in students bringing hoodies into school. Can I just ask for your continued support in this matter, and please feel free to contact the school if you are having trouble either obtaining specific items or getting your child to wear the correct uniform to school.
Sufra - Food bank
Woodfield School is a referral agency for sufra Food bank and we are able to now assist parents with getting access to support if required.
Please note this is a highly confidential service and all referrals will be treated with the utmost respect.
Please contact Patsy for further information.
