Special Meeting Results
Congratulations to Starr King members for overwhelmingly voting in favor of entering into a contract with Barrington Power, LLC to build a solar array on our property!  Thank you for accepting the Board's recommendation and taking a major step toward a Greener Future for our Fellowship.  If you want more information about becoming an investor in this project, please give your name to any Board member or sign up on the Green Energy Bulletin Board.  Also, please consider a donation toward our green boiler solution.  Donations large and small - we need them all!  Thank you.

Stewardship Announcement: Deadline for submitting pledges- Sunday, March 15th. We have received 46 pledges so far, and 70% of those pledges have increased!  Thank you to all who have pledged for the 2020-21 Fiscal Year.   We would like to have all pledges in by this Sunday.  This is the day we will celebrating our commitment to the stewardship of this Fellowship over the last 40 years!  If you can’t find the pledge packet you received, have no fears.  It’s quick and easy to pledge online.  Just follow this link https://www.starrkingfellowship.org/ and under the pictures you will see the Stewardship pledge link.

Art Installation:  Not just for kids! For only a few weeks, until March 23, our foyer houses a participatory art installation, Reflections on Belonging.  All are invited to participate by adding your own thoughts in response to one of eight questions.  The installation represents our collective celebration of our 40th Anniversary and of our Stewardship campaign.  Please select a sheet of colored paper and contribute to our community reflections. You can learn more about artist Mary Corey March’s installation pieces at http://marymarch.com/portfolio.php to get an idea of how ours will work.

Our Stewardship campaign is the financial expression of our mission to cultivate more love in the world and nurture more love for the world.  We pledge our support with gratitude for the joy, purpose and meaning this Fellowship brings to our lives.

In Our Own Words

“I experience joy when I see children in the service.  I love seeing them whether they are lighting the chalice, saying words from the pulpit, or the youth describing their Coming of Age experience or their trip to Nicaragua.”

“I’m proud of our presence at vigils and protests.   To be a part of a community that cares is empowering.  It’s wonderful to do this together.”

“I would miss Sunday services and vespers which give me a time for being and not doing.  There is no other place or time where I would have that opportunity.”
