BIO remains open during our normal hours, but we urge you to submit questions via virtual drop-in advising (see below), email or phone for non-urgent issues, rather than visiting in person. We will continue to adjust our in-person services during this period. 

Drop-in virtual student advising is now available during advising drop-in hours (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 10 a.m.–12 p.m. and 1–4 p.m.). Please see below for instructions for accessing virtual student advising.

Do I need in-person services?

  • Travel endorsements: You can visit in person to get your I-20/DS-2019 signed OR you can submit an I-20/DS-2019 Replacement Document request to internationaloffice@berkeley.edu and request mailout to you at any location
  • Document pickup: Again, we can mail it to you! If you wish to have your documents mailed to you, email internationaloffice@berkeley.edu to notify us that you would prefer mailout. We can send documents via USPS First Class (regular) mail (1-2 weeks for domestic deliveries or longer for international deliveries) or Express Mail (recommended!). For Express Mail, follow the instructions on our website and include your eShip order number in your email request.
  • Request forms & academic adviser signatures: Email request forms (CPT, OPT, I-20/DS-2019 Extension) to us at internationaloffice@berkeley.edu rather than coming in person. If your form requires an academic adviser signature, see our Student Request Forms page for info about request form virtual signatures from academic advisers.
