Pittsburgh Earth Day is sensitive to the many concerns surrounding COVID-19. It is always our primary concern to ensure the health and safety of everyone involved.

We have decided to postpone our celebration of Pittsburgh Earth Day until a later date. We will continue to keep you updated through weekly mailings of The Green Voice, on the website, and through social media.

Every Wednesday, you can expect The Green Voice in your mailbox with updates on Pittsburgh Earth Day, ways you can still celebrate Earth Day every day at home, and so much more!

Shout Outs

"We don't shut down--we shift"

The Earth Day Network has announced that April 22nd, the 50th anniversary of Earth Day, will be the First Digital Earth Day! We can still rise up and use our voices online now more than ever. Learn more and get inspired on their website.

We have something beautiful to look forward to this spring!

Pittsburgh Redbud Project plans to replace all invasive greenery with the native redbud tree, on the trail along the Allegheny River, behind Heinz Lofts. "When you go in and do a restoration like this, you're increasing biodiversity," explains Jeff Bergman, director of community forestry for the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy. Learn more, here.

We would like to thank Duquesne Light Company as Pittsburgh Earth Day's Title Sponsor. Additionally, Pittsburgh Earth Day is supported by a multitude of corporate and community partners.
