Saint Patrick’s Family and Friends,
We will not be having Worship Services or Group Gatherings
temporarily and indefinitely. Bishop Megan has made this decision for our diocese based on health care concerns and current professional guidelines, in consultation with Presiding Bishop Curry. She has pastoral concerns as we care for our people in this diocese. Also, this is our effort as the Episcopal Church in the Diocese of Northern California to do our part to help slow down the spread of this serious virus, an effort that is very much in need right now.
So, no Eucharist Services this Sunday until further notice. No Wednesday Morning Prayer or Lenten Study. The Contemplative Prayer Group is not currently meeting.
There will be some Episcopal Church services in our diocese that will be live streamed by face book. You can watch them Sunday morning (maybe 10:00). You do not need to have a Face Book Account. This is how to access them on your computer:
Go to our Diocesan website: norcalepiscopal.org
Click on the Banner at the top of the first page, titled:
Live Stream Worship
It will take you to a link or links to access services.
You should find St John’s, Petaluma; St. Stephens, Sebastopol,
and St. Paul’s in Healdsburg.
There will likely be more information to come in the current days with changes as we learn more and things progress. We will keep you posted. Please check your email regularly. Please call me if you have questions, or would like to talk. Again, reach out to your friends of Saint Patrick’s.
We will get through this together. Easter is coming. Have a holy Lent. Pray for the Church and the country. Pay attention to safety protocols. Be safe.
We are not alone. We have our Lord and each other.
For I am convinced that neither death nor life nor angels, nor rulers nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:38-39
Let us pray as our Presiding Bishop, Michael Curry, asks us to,
Almighty God … We humbly pray that we may always prove ourselves a people mindful of your favor and lead us to do your will. Bless our land with honorable industry, sound learning, and pure manners. Save us from violence, discord, and confusion; from pride and arrogance, and every evil way. Defend our liberties, and fashion onto one united people the multitudes brought hither out of many kindreds and tongues. Endue with the spirit of wisdom those to whom in your Name we entrust the authority of government, that there may be justice and peace at home, and that, through obedience to your law, we may show forth your praise among the nations of the earth. In the time of prosperity, fill our hearts with thankfulness, and in the day of trouble, suffer not our trust in you to fail; all which we ask through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Yours in Christ,
Priest Doyle
