Joyce Shores, Client Services Manager, and Joan Hill, volunteer, prepare for a drive-by diaper distribution at Life Care Pregnancy Center.

Dear Donors and Friends of LCPC,

We are in some of the craziest times any of us have ever experienced!  All you hear and see are the thoughts and fears of everyone you meet!  And in the midst of all this craziness, LCPC remains on the cutting edge.  We are still on the front lines in defense of the women, children, and families of Moore County.  We have remained – especially in these crazy times – a MASH unit for women in crisis.  Our personnel are on the frontlines, close to the needs of these women, available to help them at the point of their need.

The understanding of “salvation” in the New Testament is a complex notion.  It involves the forgiveness of sins and the restoration of humanity to its proper condition.  When Eugene Peterson was asked what was one word used to translate the word “salvation”, he replied “healing”.  Salvation is the journey toward union with God – the ultimate healing.  The Greek term soteria, normally translated as ‘salvation’ means, among a range of meanings, ‘healing’, ‘restoration’, and ‘rescue’.  At Life Care, we like to be seen as a place where wounded and broken people might receive rescue, healing, and restoration.  While the ultimate Healer of humanity is God, we are on the front lines in the process of the healing of our clients.

In the thirteen years of being Director at LCPC, I’ve witnessed the culture war waged against the women, children, and families of our community.  These crazy times are certainly most difficult, but times like these are the kind the staff of Life Care Pregnancy Center are most prepared to face.  Life and death situations.  Situations that require a Savior, a Healer.  Won’t you come alongside us?  We are counting on you – our faithful supporters – during these days of unmatched opportunities.

Trusting in Him,
Suzanne

"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." ~Isaiah 41:10

Drive-By Diaper Distribution

In response to the COVID-19 virus and related "social distancing" recommendations, Life Care provided our clients with an opportunity to "drive-by" and pick up needed diapers and wipes on March 25th.  Clients were able to drive to our center, at which point staff and volunteers were available to hand the items to them from a safe distance.  Over 1,700 diapers and wipes were distributed at this one event!
Volunteers Linda Gerdes and Joan Hill, accompanied by Client Services Manager Joyce Shores, provided diapers and wipes to clients at our "drive-by diaper distribution."

Notice: Donation & Office Hour Updates

In response to the current COVID-19 pandemic, we have made some temporary but important changes to our donation acceptance policy and our operating hours:
  • Donations: we are currently accepting only unopened diapers and wipes; all other items must be new.
  • Office Hours*: Tuesday 11a-2p, Wednesday 11a-2p, Thursday 8a-12p
*Please call our office at 910-947-6199  to confirm times as we may have to adjust depending on Governor's executive orders

We will continue to communicate with our clients to share additional information about diaper distributions and other services.  Updates for both donors and clients will also be posted to our website and Facebook page.

Work Continues at Our New Location

The demolition of the interior of our new building at 402 Monroe Street in Carthage is completed and the framing is up!  We are waiting on Moore County permits to continue with the electrical and sheetrock work.  We will be moving out of our current location at the end of April and hope to be cutting the ribbon at our new location thereabouts.  Come by and take a peek in the window!
