A Note from Dan, Lead Pastor
LCC update - March
Hey LCC! This is a great month to look out. As you know, one of our core values as a church is to be outreach oriented. We believe the answers for all of life and eternity are found in a personal relationship with God through faith in Christ. We are committed to spreading His love and message to those who don’t yet know it - to our friends, family, community, and world (Matthew 28:18-20; 1 Corinthians 9:19-23).
This world needs the hope that is found in a relationship with Jesus. And so we work hard to keep our eyes looking out for the opportunities God puts before us to shine His light. We are living this out as so many LCCers engage with mission and serving opportunities - both locally and around the world.
Speaking of that, we have our sights set on two primary places as we look at mission - international and local. Our main emphasis internationally is with the Sowers Family in Honduras. We participate in the gospel alongside as they train pastors, provide food, sponsor children, provide school supplies (backpacks), provide employment and more. This month, some of our own will be in Honduras distributing backpacks and serving.
Our main emphasis locally is the Hilliard Food Pantry. We participate with them as they provide relief to those in hunger - a great need in Hilliard. This Sunday, March 8, we’ll have a Food Pantry Collection day at LCC. We handed out bags and a list of needs (canned fruit, pasta sauce and any personal items such as toilet paper, body wash and deodorant) to bring back on March 8. We continue to look for ways to serve and build relationships with the people connected to their mission.
Though these are our two main outlets, we know that there are so many of you listening to God’s call to live the gospel in other places. We love and celebrate that too! The point is that we are to be looking out. Let’s shine His light bright this month!
In His Love,
Dan
