The Ohio Democratic Party will be holding its Legacy Dinner March 15th. This is a night of fancy food and conversation with Dems from all over the state. Joe Kennedy III will be the featured speaker. If interested contact Joe Reed or Sue Neer.

The Spring Dinner will be April 16th at Indian Lake Community Church. This is also a night of fancy food and conversation with Dems from all over the county. Doors open at 5:30 for social hour, dinner at 6:30. Tickets are $25 per person. Judge John P. O’Donnell, candidate for Ohio Supreme Court, and Ohio Senate Minority Leader Kenny Yuko will be the featured speakers.
Thanks to Joe Reed for creating these magnets. They will be passed out during canvasses and at the fair booth.
The Fair Committee secured 28 daily passes and 2 parking passes for working the fair booth. If you would like to work at the fair this year, which involves sitting in an air conditioned building and convincing a few Republicans that they are wrong, contact Sue Neer.

What Can You Do
The Logan County Grassroots Democrats continues to canvass each week. They have been going to disengaged and older voters to talk about what issues matter to them. 300 postcards were sent out to voters as well. The postcards provided links to the Logan County Democratic Party website and candidates running for OH4. If you would like to be involved contact Barb Gant

Speaking of canvassing - The National Democratic Party has declared several states including Ohio as a Battleground Build-Up 2020 state. This will double the number of on the ground field organizers and open additional offices, as well as fund an on the ground data staff to help organizers in reaching out to potential voters with effective messaging.

The Meals on Wheels volunteer opportunity has been approved. The meals are delivered from two different county locations and take approximately 2 hours to complete a route. Sue has completed her training for this duty. We can go identified as Democrats(shirts or buttons) so consider this as not just a way to serve the community, but another way to reach out to voters.  The meals are served on weekdays so if you have a free weekday to volunteer contact Sue Neer.

A local group called 2A Logan County has caused some concern as they have sent a request to the Logan County Commissioners. They have a proposition that is basically asking the Commissioners to declare the County as a Sanctuary County against any gun reform passed by the Ohio Legislature. They express concern about Red Flag and Pink Flag laws that they apparently fear will set precedence in guns being removed from gun owners. Barb Gant has requested anyone to write an email to the Commissioners with their concern. Several residents are going to meet the Commissioners on March 24th at 2 pm. Contact Barb if you would like to join this small group.

Barb also informed us about an event for All on the Line created by former Attorney General Eric Holder. This is a group concerned about the redistricting process in Ohio following the 2020 Census. This has led to another postcard campaign by the LCGD directed Senate co-chair Abhof, who has not signed off on the funds to be given to the party caucuses to prepare to re-draw the districts. You are encouraged to contact Barb to sign a postcard that will be directed to Senator Abhof.
