Each year the Home Baking Association seeks to recognize baking educators in classrooms, community programs or wherever educators are sharing baking lessons and activities. One educator will win $1,000 and a trip for two to Santa Fe, New Mexico to attend the Home Baking Association Annual Meeting October 18-20, 2020! Entry details are provided at HomeBaking.org. Deadline to enter is March 31, 2020. Top entries are developed into baking lessons each year to share with other baking educators! This month we are featuring a few of the winning lessons. March is Bake and Take Month! A great community service project for bakers of all ages to bake and take to someone! We’ve shared recipes and more information!

Bakeworks, LLC was researched and licensed by preschool educator Julie Ratchford as a multi-sensory enrichment experience for 3, 4 and 5-year-old children. Over 8 weeks, baking lessons served as a fun motivator to discuss the basic baking ingredient names and more! Here is her lesson plan!
