Joshua Hennessy unleashes new single 'This Storm'

Sensitive to the purpose of song in the face of modern anxieties, Joshua Hennessy seeks to inspire with his single This Storm

With spirited guitars, This Storm is rebelliously optimistic. A song about chasing down the fear of failure, realising that love can be who you are and not just how you feel. It’s a high energy song, drawing on the energy derived from beatnik culture and maintained through power-pop arrangements, This Storm is written to motivate people to never accept falling down as a reason to not get back up again. 

After 7 years of sharing music in bands, behind somebody else’s voice, Josh wants to continue sharing his songs from behind the mic with his own voice. Promoting a message of love, hope and wanting people to think bigger than themselves, Josh aims to share his songs with anybody willing to listen. 

 

 

Jack Kerouac wrote, “the only people for me are the mad ones, the ones who are mad to live, mad to talk, mad to be saved, desirous of everything at the same time…” Joshua Hennessy’s hope is that we all find that madness – that desire inside – and start running towards it. 

Music has always been Josh’s way of navigating through life. His deep appreciation of music encourages a resilient approach to songwriting as a tool to mitigate modern anxieties. 

This Storm runs on a pop-punk heart: playful, empowered and unhindered by social pressure.
