EMILIO AYTO - GUITARIST

Emilio Ayto is a talented young guitarist based in Falmouth, whose repertoire combines classical guitar with film soundtracks, alternative rock music, and his own compositions. Emilio uses effects pedals and extended techniques to create a sound that is both innovative and unique to him.

Emilio has played support slots for international guitarists Christian Lavernier, Florian Palier and Pat Coldrick, and is largely inspired by guitarists Chris Woods, Shane Hennessy, Clive Carroll and Milos Karadaglic.

In November 2018 Emilio embarked on his first tour, which included a sell-out concert at The Poly in Falmouth, and he released a self-titled EP in August 2019 to great success. Emilio regularly performs live on radio and plans to tour nationally in 2020.

Dont miss his live gig at The Old Library tomorrow evening, Saturday 7th March, at 7:30pm. The Ola Cafe bar will be open throughout, and tickets will be available online in advance or on the door from 7pm.

“Emilio Ayto is a stunning young talent."
Ben Salfield (International Concert Artist & Festival Director)

“That was beautiful, achingly beautiful"
Debbie McCrory (BBC Radio Cornwall) on Emilio’s Bohemian Rhapsody

“The calm and tranquil sound that resonates through the room as Emilio Ayto plays sets a high standard to what contemporary classical guitar composition has to offer. This Falmouth based musician uses loop pedals and modulation, embedding a modern twist into his music”
