Drink-Milk.com is new and improved! Your local dairy checkoff's completely redesigned website makes it easier for consumers to find quick answers and accurate information about dairy foods and farming. On the website visitors can meet Ohio and West Virginia dairy farming families, learn about cow and calf care, environmental stewardship and milk safety, get delicious recipe ideas and understand more about the health benefits of dairy foods. There's also a special For Farmers section featuring free promotional items, information about checkoff-funded programs and more.

Emily Infeld Runs on Milk
ADA Mideast is continuing their partnership with Cleveland native and U.S. Olympian Emily Infeld to promote the goodness of real milk. In a new social media video series, the Track & Field athlete shares how milk fuels her training routine and helps her catch her dreams.
 
This project is an extension of Team Milk - a partnership between the U.S. Olympic Committee and the Milk Processor Education Program (MilkPEP), which is funded by the nation's milk companies.

In 2019, the Fuel Up to Play 60 program turned 10 years old and has grown to encompass 73,000 schools nationwide, providing more than $32 million in grants for students to make healthy changes in their schools.

Locally, ADA Mideast works with the Cincinnati Bengals and Cleveland Browns to deliver the FUTP60 program to more 3,100 schools in Ohio and West Virginia. In the last 10 years we have encouraged more than 1.6 million students to be active and choose healthy foods like milk, cheese and yogurt.

International Hit: Chicken & Cheese Pops

U.S. cheese made its way into the Latin America/Caribbean region in a new way, thanks to your checkoff’s partnership with KFC.

DMI’s research experts found that the combination of fried chicken and cheese appealed to KFC Latin America/Caribbean's customers, and worked with the team to develop more than 70 concepts for chicken and U.S. cheese.

As a result, the Chicken & Cheese Pop was created - a mixture of popcorn chicken and cheese curds. KFC used its marketing muscle and resources to promote the product on television and on its social and digital channels. “Made with cheese from the USA” messaging was featured on marketing materials. While sales results are proprietary, it was well received and is a big win for U.S. cheese.

Now Sampling: Ohio Cheese
ADA Mideast recently attended the Mid-America Restaurant Expo in Columbus to promote Ohio cheeses with the Ohio Cheese Guild. The booth was a huge hit as attendees stopped by to sample Ohio cheeses and get ideas on how to incorporate it into their restaurant's menu, as well as information about local cheesemakers and dairy farming practices.
 
Each year the expo attracts 4,000+ restaurant experts, exhibitors and operators from throughout the Midwest to discuss the latest trends and topics affecting the restaurant industry.
