FEBRUARY OUTREACH
We showcased historic photos of locations featured on our Vancouver Labour History Walking Tours that are also Vancouver Heritage Foundation "Places That Matter", as part of their Heritage Week Community Celebration event in Vancouver on February 19th.

We also attended the Surrey Teachers' Association Focus Day on February 21st to promote our labour history curriculum for public schools. Thank you to both organizations for your hospitality!
April 28 is the Day of Mourning across Canada. The BC Labour Heritage Centre is one of seven partners in the Day of Mourning BC Schools Project

The project encourages teachers to engage students - who are often young workers - about their health and safety rights. We provide classroom materials, lesson plans and videos to make this a success.

TEACHERS: Register your class or school in the project. (There are PRIZES!) Materials can be mailed and/or downloaded. Deadline to request a print package is March 20, 2020.

PARENTS: Ask your school to participate.

STUDENTS: Encourage your classroom teacher and school administration to join in.
