Being caring and compassionate for one’s fellow human beings is a central part of Islam. “Those who spend their wealth in Allah’s cause are like grains of corn which produce seven ears, each bearing a hundred grains.” (Qur’an, 2:261)

Theme of the Month

Patience and Perseverance

Students will recite the following duaa's everyday during the month of February In Shaa' Allah:

Duaa' during morning assembly:

"اللَّهُمَّ بِكَ أَصْبَحْنَا، وَبِكَ أَمْسَيْنَا، وَبِكَ نَحْيَا، وَبِكَ نَمُوتُ وَإِلَيْكَ النُّشُورُ".

Allaahumma bika 'asbahnaa, wa bika 'amsaynaa, wa bika nahyaa, wa bika namootu wa 'ilaykan-nushoor.

O Allah , by You we enter the morning and by You we enter the evening, by You we live and and by You we die, and to You is the Final Return.

Duaa' before dismissal:

"رَبَّنَا أَفْرِغْ عَلَيْنَا صَبْرًا وَثَبِّتْ أَقْدَامَنَا وَانصُرْنَا عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْكَافِرِينَ"

"Our Lord, pour upon us patience and plant firmly our feet and give us victory over the disbelieving people."

Non-Public Schools Advocacy Day

SGA Committee Roles and Responsibilities

Students who attended the Non-Public Schools Advocacy Day were able to witness how the process of educational appropriation for non-public schools occurs. Students were able to attend a rally for the continuation of grants, subsidies, and financial, academic and structural appropriation for non-public schools, visit and observe both houses of the State Government, and witness the recognition and honor of three African-American WWII Veterans of the Postal Brigade 6888 Battalion, who were the first to serve overseas.
