Eagle Library and Parks and Rec. Classes Cancelled Starting March 14th

Coronavirus is causing a lot of concern in our community and around the globe. Now that there is at least one confirmed case in Idaho, health officials are advising everyone, but especially individuals who are older or have underlying health conditions to avoid public spaces and events.

As of Saturday, March 14, 2020, Eagle Public Library and Eagle Parks and Recreation events, programs, and classes are cancelled until further notice, however, Eagle City Hall and the Eagle Public Library will be open during regular business hours. The City of Eagle is regularly in contact with Central District Health, and other state and county agencies to monitor the coronavirus situation. We will provide updates on our website, email notifications and social media accounts as the situation evolves.

If you are choosing to avoid public spaces for health reasons, we want you to know there are options to conduct city business remotely.

The Idaho Department of Health and Welfare and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) also have up to date, factual information on their websites.  How can I help protect myself?
People can help protect themselves from respiratory illness with everyday preventive actions.
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol if soap and water are not available.
If you are sick, to keep from spreading respiratory illness to others, you should
  • Stay home when you are sick.
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.

Thank you for doing your part to keep our community healthy!

Jason Pierce, Mayor

What made you choose Eagle?
We were attracted to the fact that it's an expanding community and a great place to raise our kids. Eagle has a lot of small-town charm while also being bustling and vibrant.

What's your favorite aspect of your current location?
It's so beautiful! We are right on the Boise River, we have a gorgeous view of the Greenbelt. When the weather is good we can enjoy it on our wonderful patio, when the weather is bad we can enjoy the view from the comfort of our dining room through our large and elegantly arched windows.
