Hello Pastors, Prayers Partners, and Friends,

Since last writing I have traveled 3,500 miles by car, 2,000 by air, preached in 7 churches, and benefited from the generosity of hundreds of God’s Children. Amidst the travel I was blessed to hike, work out with friends, and visit coffee shops with Pastors in the Pacific Northwest. I planned this trip believing God wanted me to go, even while on the plane from Vancouver to Portland I had not yet worked out all of my itinerary, but God provided housing, meetings, and covered expenses.

February 2 was at Orting Community Baptist Church in Washington. God worked in the services and the people gave so generously.

February 5 Pastor Mutchler from Grandview Baptist in Oregon allowed me to speak in Elementary Chapel as well as present the ministry Wednesday evening. They have agreed to take me on for support! He also allowed me to spend several days in their mission's apartment. It was a huge answer to prayer.

February 8-9 Summerville Baptist Church in Eastern Oregon had a 10/40 missions emphasis. Pastor Humber was very gracious and his burden to pray and lead his church to influence the 10/40 was deeply encouraging. They sent me off with great hope.

I drove down on the 10th to Southern California to see a friend in the Marines. He was deploying the next week for the middle East and I wanted to see him and his family before he left. Please pray for Sean that God will protect him and use him to be a good influence on his Marines.

February 16 God opened doors for me to preach at Mt. View Baptist Temple for Pastor Hansen as well as Bethel Baptist Church in Salem with Pastor Hardy. So many committed to pray for the 10/40 as well as specific countries. I was uplifted being in both churches.

February 19 Pastor Mutchler again allowed me speak for Jr. and Teen chapels at the school. He and Mrs. Mutchler invited me to eat dinners with them and made sure I could do laundry and had a place as long as I needed.

February 23 in Seattle was a new experience. My old friend Jonathan Beasley invited me to preach and present for support in their church plant in the city. I prayed and decided to drive up and preach. Pastor Jonathan invested in my life when I traveled for Neighborhood Bible Time and encouraged me as I traveled in evangelism. And, of course, we spent time discussing the finer points of theology.

We also had a killer workout that left pretty much all of me sore for a few days. If you’re in Seattle and need a personal trainer, he is your man!

February 26 a fellow West Coast Baptist College grad invited me to present at the Baptist church he just started pastoring in Renton WA. We spent hours fellowshipping and he gave a sweet tour of Seattle with his family. The church was so kind to make sure I had a place to stay during the week. It was great seeing and hanging with more old friends from college, Pastor Jordin and Dana Thornburg!

March 1st During the morning service I preached for Pioneer Baptist Church planted by Pastor Lugo. For an evening service Salem Baptist Church with Pastor Brown allowed me to preach and share my calling. I am so thankful each of these men allowed me to come for their mission’s Sunday and share my burden.

Monday’s flight brought me back Milton from Portland to prepare for my next few weeks of ministry as well as working on more meetings and opportunities for support. I still have a few weeks open in the fall that I would like to fill with services. I am slowly working on learning through a Hindi program also. Please pray for progress.

March 8-10 I drive tomorrow to Millbrook AL to take part in the missions conference Sunday through Tuesday at Victory Baptist with Pastor Byrd.

March 11-15 Missions Conference at Calvary Baptist in Ft. Walton

March 19-22 Evangelism Conference at Calvary Baptist in Dickson TN

March 26 West Florida Baptist Academy Chapel

March 29 Missions Sunday At Atmore Baptist Temple AL

Thanks for praying. God is brining in the support I need and taking care of all my needs. His grace has been upholding me as I am learning and growing in this phase of my life. If I may be transparent: The Spirit has convicted me about showing grace and mercy. Where would I be if not for grace? If God did not show mercy I would be condemned. My tongue should be used to minister grace; Not complaints, not criticism, not my knowledge, but grace. I am glad that God first forgives 70x7 so that I can learn to do it too.

Jesus is so kind. I want to be more like Him. Everyone who prays and gives touches my heart. God bless you for showing grace.

In His Love,

Micah Self

P.S. Pray for Dave as he has been traveling consistently for a few weeks, just ended a revival Wednesday, and flew all day today to preach tomorrow for a teen conference and then fly back to start a revival Sunday in SC. He is a busy man, and 50 now ;)

P.P.S Here is a photo of the 10/40 Window which people have asked about. It is the approximate region of the world in between latitudes 10 and 40 containing 66% of the worlds population, most unreached people groups (2% or less Christian), and many "closed" countries. Millions have never heard the gospel one time. Approximately 3-5% of missions giving goes to this region of the world as it is very difficult to reach.
