NEWS FROM OUR BOARD PRESIDENT:
Ministerial Search Update:
We've made some important progress on the hiring of an interim minister:
- The Board has determined at this time it will be a 1/2 time, contract minister.
- A search committee has been formed, including Laura Conkle (chair), Sue Johnson, Patrick Burke, and Kate Tomlinson
- The search committee is charged with working with the Board to finalize the responsibilities and desired criteria for candidates, executing the search, and recommending a final candidate to the Board.
- The Board will be responsible for finalizing a contract.
Because this is a contract position, it will not include a congregational vote. However, we will continue to provide updates and opportunities for discussion regularly. Our goal is to have the minister in place by August.
While we'll miss Rev Dave greatly, we are also openly embracing the possibilities ahead and excited to see where this process leads us.
If you have any questions, please contact me or any the search committee members above.
- Kate Tomlinson, Board President

As members of this church Community, we are here to support each other through times of both celebration and sorrow. As such, Allegheny members AJ & Diane request the blessing of your presence as they remember the life of AJ’s big brother, Blake, on Saturday, March 28, 2020, in Allegheny’s sanctuary at 1PM, with a memorial lunch to follow downstairs in Founders Hall. Blake unexpectedly died in his sleep at his home in Florida last month. Please come to support AJ & Diane in their time of grief.

Fear and misinformation about the Coronoavirus are causing many of our local businesses to suffer. There are more than 100 Asian restaurants in the City of Pittsburgh. Let's show our support for our community and reject racism by supporting our neighbors who own Asian restaurants and markets this week!
