When in Raglan ...

EN PLEIN AIR WORKSHOP

Richard has provided a "photo poem" as a record of the recent Open Air workshop at Catherine Houston's.
"What wonderful discoveries we made in Catherine’s beautiful garden.
At the entrance there was a welcome from a sunflower, nodding in the breeze. It’s head slightly bowed, as if in respect." – Richard
Lois was also inspired by the sunflower.
"There were shadows and shapes in the agaves, the pukas and the spiky yuccas, creating patterns and shapes like the sun-kissed ridges of rolling hills." – Richard
"There were the reddish, golden flames bordering the view, but with a beauty of their own when focused upon." – Richard
Catherine has frequently been inspired by her own view.
"And there were dry drooping seedheads, past the exuberance of spring. Now drying off and slowing down before winter, with a beauty and fragility of their own." – Richard
