Pinetree Spring Carnival - Friday, March 20th - 4:00pm to 8:00pm
Wristbands on sale now!

This is always one of the best nights of the year to come and hang out with your Pinetree friends and enjoy the Festivities. This year we'll have returning favorites including the giant slide, obstacle course, toddler bounce house, train ride, carnival games, video game truck, petting zoo and new this year - ORB Hamster Balls, Bungee Run and Pony Rides! We'll also have some really cool silent auctions, raffles and the return of the yummy 6th Grade Food Booth.  Also, new this year, we're bringing back vendor booths to browse and shop.

We have two tiers of wristbands for the different age groups:

Ages 5-15 Wristbands (adults do not need wristbands)
Presale: $15 - At the Carnival: $20

Ages 4 and under Wristbands
Presale: $8 - At the Carnival: $10

Food Tickets will be sold separately at the Carnival

The presale for wristbands is always the best deal! Make sure to take advantage of it before the presale ends Wednesday, March 18th. Pre-ordered wristbands will be available for pickup after school on March 20th and during the Carnival at the check in booth.

Two waivers have been sent home with the order forms.  Please make sure to complete and sign both and return with your order form.  If you're purchasing online, please make sure to complete and return the waivers to your student's teacher.  Wristbands will not be handed out until both waivers have been completed.

Volunteers Needed
We at the PTA always want to provide the best Carnival for our Pioneers but we can’t do it without the parents and teacher volunteers to help us run everything safely and smoothly.  If we don't have volunteers during certain shifts, we'll be forced to shut down that attraction/game during that time.
The PTA’s motto is “Many Hands Make Light Work” and we could use as many hands as we can get.  If you have older kids in Jr. High or High School, please have them come out and volunteer.  We will sign any volunteer hour verification forms for their schools.

NEW THIS YEAR:  For every 30 minute shift volunteered, you'll receive a free raffle ticket to enter in one of our many awesome raffles!

Volunteering Tip:  Perhaps team up with another Pinetree Parent or Family Member!  They can watch your Pioneers play at the carnival while you volunteer your 30-minute shift and then you can trade off.

Please click the button below, review and signup.  You can volunteer a half hour shift (or more) which still leaves plenty of time to spend with your kiddos at the carnival the rest of the night.  Please reach out to president@pinetreepta.org if you have any questions in regards to volunteering at the Carnival.

Business Donations for Silent Auctions & Raffles
Are you a local business owner or have connections to one?  If so, would like to donate a gift card, services or a basket of goodies to the Carnival's Silent Auctions & Raffles?  We are a 501c organization so your donation is tax deductible and all funds raised go to benefit our enrichment programs and field trips.  If you have anything to donate, please reach out to president@pinetreepta.org or bring it by the School office.  We'll even give a shot out to your business in our Map Program
6th Grade Food Booth Donations
The sixth grade is in charge of food and we are asking for each 6th Grade Family to contribute if possible.  This is the list of items needed; we are breaking it down to last names so that we don't get too much of one item and not enough of another.  If you can contribute it would be very much appreciated!  The more food that is donated, the more profit can be made at the 6th Grade food booth.  These funds raised go toward the end of year 6th Grade Activities including Six Flags & Greek Week.

A - E : Water bottles (the more, the better!)
F - J : 12 packs of canned soda
K - O : Bagged chips (individual servings) or large bags of tortilla chips for nachos

Join the Pinetree PTA
As you can see, we have kicked off our Membership drive with a cool "Dino-Mite" theme.  Come join the Pinetree PTA and have a voice in your child's education.  Please note that joining the PTA doesn't require you to attend the meetings or volunteer although we and your students would LOVE if you did.  The Pinetree PTA was able to increase the membership count in the 2018-19 year over the 2017-18 school year.  Let's show that we can do it again.
Also, the classes with the most memberships will win some really cool prizes.

Box Tops Goal - Laser/Music Assembly Reward
If we earn more that $1,000 in box tops this school year, all students will receive an awesome Laser/Music Assembly in our MPR so keep collecting those box tops and turning them into your student's teacher.  Also, make sure to scan all your store receipts in the Box Tops App (new video below with instructions) to earn more box tops.

There are some BIG changes happening to one of the easiest ways to raise money for Pinetree School. For every Box Top that is turned in, Pinetree earns 10 cents. They add up, and already this year, we have collected $765 for our students. However, how you collect Box Tops has changed this yearit has gone digital!

Box Tops is slowly transitioning to no longer printing Box Tops on the packaging of products, that is why it is so important to download the app and start scanning. However, until then, please keep clipping and sending any Box Tops that you may find. We will be earning money for Pinetree both ways.  We suggest anytime you go food shopping, go ahead and scan that receipt in the app.  The app will look at each of the items and do the work for you to see if any of the items qualify for a box top and automatically contribute it to Pinetree.  Please note you have to scan the receipt within 14 days of the purchase.

Because of this change, we'll no longer be able to do classroom contests.  We are working as a school to earn the Laser/Music Special Assembly.

Check out the video below for more information on this change:
See how easy it is to earn for your school with the NEW Box Tops App! Watch this how-to video to for a simple, step-by-step explanation of how it works—then give it a try yourself.
