We'll keep you updated, please stay home if needed

Due to health concerns around the novel coronavirus and in consideration of the fact that our meeting site is a senior center where vulnerable members of the public congregate, members of the OFDNA Board have been authorized to attend our March board meeting by phone.

We encourage anyone who feels sick or who may be vulnerable to illness to stay home.

Please contact us if you would like to submit a public comment before the meeting and we will accommodate your request.

Draft minutes will be posted online after the meeting. Additionally, members of the Board are always happy to have a coffee or phone call after board meetings to fill you in or discuss issues if you are not able to attend.

New Septic-to-Sewer Projects Selected for 2021

The second phase of Neighborhood Extension Projects was selected on February 20, 2020 and is anticipated to begin construction in 2021.  The projects selected for construction in 2021 are located on Via Sandia/Cabin Court; East Lake Drive and a small portion of Twin Lakes Loops; and a portion of Orion Drive.

New Land Deal in Legislature Affects Stevens Road Tract and the UGB

A state legislator is attempting to arrange a deal that gives a certain developer rights to the half of the Stevens Road Tract that currently lies outside of Bend's UGB. The deal takes the form of an amendment to a bill - HB 4012 - and would have the effect of expanding Bend's UGB to include this land outside of the usual UGB process.

Read more details in the Bulletin here.

The failure of the 2020 state legislative session may have delayed this bill from being passed, which gives you time to learn more and contact elected officials.

The sponsor of this amendment, Rep Brian Clem (Salem), can be reached at Rep.BrianClem@oregonlegislature.gov or 503-986-1421.

Bend's
representative, Cheri Helt, can be reached at Rep.CheriHelt@oregonlegislature.gov or 503-986-1454.

Additionally, this deal requires the consent of Bend City Council in order to annex the land. You can reach council at council@bendoregon.gov.
