A regular update highlighting and connecting work within International Development across the OU and beyond.

High profile for International Development

In this edition of ID@OU we have the first news about The Open University’s new Masters in Global Development programme, the successor to its hugely popular and influential Development Management Masters.

And we talk to two academics (pictured) about the role that our International Development and Inclusive Innovation expertise is playing in the space science research group AstrobiologyOU, recently constituted following a £6.7 million grant to the university.

There’s also news about an innovative workshop we are running with the African Network for Internationalisation of Education (ANIE).

Finally, ID@OU has joined with all The Open University’s social media accounts to mark International Women’s Day on Sunday 8 March – our contribution celebrates academics with interests in inclusion, gender economics and transitional justice. Topics this newsletter will no doubt be revisiting later in the year.

This lunchtime seminar will hear from Dr Balihar Sanghera (Sociology, University of Kent).
