It was terrific to have you at Yesterday Today Tomorrow last week. We have received a lot of positive feedback and will aim to repeat the experience next year for Women's Week.

We would appreciate it very much if you could be part of our campaign to raise the issue of the sexual assaults of older women in nursing homes. The Aged Care Royal Commission has not committed to looking at this issue even though there were 739 reported cases last year (that's 2 a day). This is not good enough. We hope you can add your voice calling for change.
How to help:
1) Sign our petition which asks the Royal Commission to investigate the issue: http://chng.it/XSy7kjpG
2) Take a photo of your feet/shoes, add #walkwithher and #olderwomencount and send it to us at info@ownnsw.org.au and/or post it in your social media with a few words about why it matters to you.
We will have a forum on April 27th in Town Hall which will be facilitated by Geraldine Doogue, followed by an act of public solidarity with all the older women who have been sexually assaulted and ignored and disbelieved. Please join us then. Details to follow in an upcoming newsletter.
