STATS NZ Tatauranga Aotearoa advise that the 2018 Non Profit Institutions Satellite Account (NPISA) will be released on 27 March 2020. The publication will include the first release of 2020 data for the non profit sector in New Zealand as well as the revised 2013 data. As part of the release, they will be publishing the 2018 NPISA report, 2018 NPISA Infographic and a set of CSV tables for 2018 and 2013 years. The 2018 NPISA publication will be released on Stats NZ website.

Northland Community Expos: The Funding Managers from Far North, Whangarei and Kaipara District Councils are arranging a series of Community Expos aiming to provide advice, opportunity to meet funders and others (including NFP Resource!) to discuss funding, volunteer resources, compliance and registration, and promoting your organisation. The expos are being run on 1,2,3 April 2020 at three venues (see below). Admission is free.
VolFest 2020 is an event aimed at celebrating volunteers and offering opportunities for community involvement. It will be held on Saturday 4th April 2020 at the Historic Village Green in Tauranga. The event will have a festive atmosphere with food vendors and entertainment and it's free for the public to attend. Volunteer organisations may secure a stall at Volfest to showcase their organisation, profile their sponsors and recruit volunteers in a fun and vibrant environment. Philanthropy NZ : Both Sides of the Coin. Get helpful insight into the worlds of both grantmakers and grantseekers. Join PNZfor this series of events in Christchurch, Auckland and Wellington that bring together the not-for-profit and philanthropic sectors. Hear one of New Zealand largest funders, Perpetual Guardian, speak on behalf of its generous donor and trust clients. They’ll be joined by a community group they fund for a frank talk about their relationship, with a focus on the importance of trust. Don’t miss speaker Emily Mason, Chief Executive and Co-founder of the Impact Lab Ltd, who will discuss impact measurement from both a funder and grant seeker’s point of view. Philanthropy New Zealand Chief Executive, Sue McCabe, will also discuss the latest trends and issues impacting funders and those seeking the money. Community Organisation Grants Scheme. A series of public meetings around the country have been announced - the calendar can be found here. These meetings represent an opportunity for community groups to meet the COGS Local Distribution Committee (LDC) members to discuss local needs and priorities for funding for the 2020/21 financial year and to prepare for opening the next funding round. The COGS funding allocation for 2019 can be found here. The priorities for each LDC can be found here.
