RUSI NSW LUNCHTIME LECTURE

Speaker: Dr Bates Gill (季北慈), PhD, KNO
Professor of Asia-Pacific Security Studies, Macquarie University
Subject: Assessing the Ambitious Reforms of the People's Liberation Army
 
Over the past 12 months, Dr Gill has conducted a project delivering high-value research and professional development opportunities on topics of priority interest to Defence.

This project involved conducting a major study on the critical advances and ongoing challenges to emerge from the current ambitious reform and reorganisation plans of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA), with a particular focus on joint operations and the development of deterrent and coercive capabilities across multiple domains.  
 
The Lecture is open to any interested person
commencing at 1.00 pm - 2.00pm in the Anzac Memori
al Auditorium, (downstairs with access via Liverpool St.)
 
RUSI NSW Members $10.00; Non-members $15
Sandwiches served from 12.00 noon (cost $8.00 to be paid on the day) 
Sandwiches must be pre-ordered by emailing office@rusinsw.org.au on the Monday prior to the lecture before 2pm.
 
You can also bring your own lunch and eat it (between 12 noon and 1pm), in the auditorium where tea and coffee are provided.
Payment will be collected at the lecture.  Pre-event registration is not required.  

Our lectures are an great opportunity to learn about current events and periods of history that have a profound impact on Australia and other countries, and to network with your friends and colleagues.
