<<First Name>>,
What a difference a few weeks makes! Just two weeks ago my family and I were planning a Spring break trip to get out of the cold and fly down to warmer weather and a beach. It's amazing how quickly plans change. I hope you are all staying safe, well and sane in these uncertain times.
As I'm sure you've expected, our March monthly refresher will not be meeting at the airport. Even though we will not be meeting in person, I do want to offer an opportunity to gather on a conference call. I don't have a presentation lined up, but I would like to discuss any opinions and concerns anyone has with the new tower. I'll be honest, I haven't flown during tower hours since it went live last Monday, but I'm excited to hear your experiences. If you want, please join online this Thursday, March 26 at 7 pm for an open discussion. You'll be able to either join from your computer or simply dial-in. Just visit this link for more details on joining.

I'm also toying with an online community tool called Slack. Slack is currently a popular business collaboration tool used among numerous teams to communicate, share and discuss ideas as well as socially connect with other members. You might think of it as an online forum and a membership messaging platform. Our usage would be a completely free service and it won't be used to replace anything currently in place, but rather as an enhancement for members to communicate with each other, share stories, ask questions, coordinate trips, etc.
Let me know if you would participate in something like this:
Yes
Possibly
No
If you have specific questions, please respond to this email with your question. If you'd like to try it out, you can join here. I can always delete your slack account later if desired.
And as always, if you need anything or have any concerns, please feel free to reach out either on the new Slack community above or by emailing us at info@fnlpilots.org
