3D Things To Do
As most of us are now in self isolation or social distancing I'm sure you are looking at catching up on some reading about 3D or making some new images or videos.
John Peck our
Journal Editor would appreciate articles or 3D images for future journals, especially as there will not be a report on the convention and so is left with space to fill.
The society website has a few
'How To' articles on creating 3D images and videos worth a look under the
3D Help menu.
There is also a list of other useful resources and websites under :
External Links
If you know of any others to add please recommend them to our
web master Andrew Wilkinson.
For many years there have been email groups on Yahoo discussing different topics of 3D these were recently moved over to
Groups.io
Search for 3d and stereoscopic or stereoscopy.
A good website for displaying 3D images and allowing the 3D format to be chosen is :
Phereo.com
The society has accounts on social media these are mainly used for putting out notifications under the account names @stereoscopicsociety on
Facebook and
Instagam or
@stereoscopicsoc on
Twitter.
Facebook has many groups you can join to discuss a variety of topics on 3D, in some respects similar to Groups.io but lots of images are easily included.
Instagram has a particularly good following of people posting side by side 3D images especially followers of London Stereoscopic Company who post including the hashtag #teamstereoscopy.
I will add that if you aren't already using social media it can become addictive and time consuming.
