CaliforniaCarbon.info, March 20, 2020: This month, the front rose by 8 cents closing at USD 17.91 above the last trading day of January 2020. California Carbon Allowance (CCA) prices remained fairly stable throughout the month. This is visible from the average daily price change of USD 0.05 visible on page 7. Moreover, the forward curves on page 4 exhibit a positive incline for Dec20, Dec21 & Dec22 in both Vintages (V19 & V20). When considering monthly change, the V20 Feb20 gained 3 cents while the Benchmark lost 3 cents. A shift in trading strategies and the market outlook was observed around Joint Auction 22.
