- Research subjects should be appropriately screened using the screening guidelines.
- Treatment protocols may require some adjustment to IRB-approved processes resulting from transition to virtual visits and alteration of procedures. Any change to a protocol relative to COVID-19 should be documented as a note to the research file as well as to the participants EPIC records.

Health Researcher Spotlight: Apparao Rao
|

Apparao Rao, Clemson University Department of Physics and Astronomy faculty member and CUSHR Faculty Scholar, was selected as a 2020 Fellow of the Materials Research Society (MRS) for developing liquid-based scalable synthesis methods to manufacture a class of nanomaterials used in numerous applications, including energy storage, medicine, electronics, and composites. - April 1 - 3 - RESCHEDULED - The 2020 CCI Symposium has been rescheduled for Aug. 26-28. It will be held at the Hyatt Regency in Greenville, S.C. This year's theme is, "Powerful Partnerships: Reimagining Healthcare Beyond Our Walls." Registration is open, and more information can be found here.
- April 8 - ONLINE EVENT - Over 120 poster abstracts were submitted and are being reviewed for the HSC Research Showcase. Authors will be notified with published recognition and sharing of abstracts with research community through an online mode.
- April 11 - POSTPONED - The South Carolina branch of the American Society for Microbiology has postponed its 2020 Spring Meeting at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine Greenville. A future date has not been set yet.
- April 17 - POSTPONED - The Scientific Retreat on Stem Cell Therapy and Cellular Therapy Research, held at the MUSC Drug Discovery Building Auditorium, has been postponed until further notice. Visit MUSC's website for additional information.
- May 6 - POSTPONED - Clemson University Research Day has been postponed until further notice. More information can be found here.
