Dear NYCETC Member,

Like all of you, we are working to respond to the C-19 pandemic with as much urgency and utility as possible in order to minimize the negative health and economic consequences for New Yorkers, our sector, and our overall economy. Below you will find a number of updates from government and coalition partners.

This Week's Updated Guidance from MOCS

Closely related to our concerns about our members' fiscal health, we are monitoring the evolving information from the Mayor's Office of Contract Services about how programs can operate during this crisis. Today,  MOCS shared newly updated guidance (March 20) on streamlining services during the pandemic. It includes some new relief from signature and notarization requirements. This follows some important earlier guidance (March 18) about contract payment plans announced on Wednesday.

Please contact us at jlaymon@nycetc.org with any questions, concerns or ideas related to the changing policy environment.

New COVID-19 Response and Impact Fund Announced

A collective of NYC philanthropic organizations announced a new $75 million fund to provide grants and interest-free loans to small and mid-size nonprofits to help them respond to emerging needs, cover losses associated with the disruption of their operations, and help them continue their critical work.

The list of funders that have made this generous pledge include Kenneth C. Griffin Foundation, The JPB Foundation, The Estée Lauder Companies Charitable Foundation, The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, The New York Community Trust, Jennifer and Jonathan Allan Soros, Jon Stryker and Slobodan Randjelović, Revson Charles H Foundation, Robin Hood, Rockefeller Brothers Fund, Laurie M. Tisch Illumination Lawn - Lincoln Center, UJA-Federation of New York, and Wells Fargo Foundation.

We encourage you, our members, to seek this support for your programs affected by COVID-19 , and we thank these organizations and their leaders for recognizing the need to support non-profits on the frontlines of the COVID-19 crisis.

Supply Sharing with the City and Providers

Finally, we know that many of you have made the difficult choice to close your programs during this crisis. If so, you may still be able to contribute to the COVID-19 response through donations of useful supplies.

If your organization has supplies that can be redistributed, please email our allies at the Human Services Council at info@humanservicescouncil.org. They are coordinating supply redistribution.

Thank you for your support.

In solidarity,
