ADA North East Supports Retailers and Consumers During Coronavirus Pandemic
This week, the ADA North East retail team is continuing its work with retailers to keep shelves stocked – physically going into stores and loading milk, cheese and yogurt into store cases. Store managers are appreciative of the help, as it means their staff is freed up for other work, so more customers can buy milk and other necessary items. Week-to-date, we’ve stocked more than 27,000 units of dairy products at grocery chains such as Giant Landover, Giant Carlisle, Tops, Wegmans and Acme.

Our social media post featuring our retail staff has received more than 10,000 impressions and has been shared more than 35 times!

Virtual Dairy Farm Tours

Our Virtual Dairy Farm Tours continue to be an educational resource for families. As of now, the tours have been viewed more than 90,000 times!
These tours have also resulted in media interest from local and national television station and newspapers, looking for a fresh angle to the COVID-19 story.
We’ve confirmed several media interviews with farmers that included information on how it’s almost “business as usual” on the farm. Additionally, we distributed a news release detailing how to freeze milk so that consumers don’t have to give up the goodness of their favorite milk just because its perishable. That information received more than 393,000 impressions.
We invite farms to tag ADA North East in any positive social media photos and videos about what’s happening on the farm so we can amplify them on our social media channels!
