Board of Port Commissioners to Consider Confirming Local Emergency Proclamation at Special Meeting on Monday, March 23, 2020

In order to help protect the health and safety of the public, employees, and property, and in support of Port of San Diego operations and services, the Board of Port Commissioners will consider confirming an Emergency Proclamation in response to Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) at a special meeting to be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 23, 2020.
In alignment with an Executive Order issued by California Governor Gavin Newsom (Executive Order No. N-29-20), the meeting will be held virtually with Commissioners and essential staff participating by phone. The public can view the agenda and/or watch the meeting online at portofsandiego.legistar.com, and may participate by emailing comments to PublicRecords@portofsandiego.org. Emails received prior to 9:30 a.m. will become part of the meeting record.
If confirmed, the proclamation would enable the Port to request assistance and resources from other local government agencies, the state, the federal government, and/or disaster relief organizations to help alleviate economic damages and losses as a result of COVID-19.
