We're gettin' creative...

They say it's hard to teach old dogs new tricks. Well, these two "old dogs" are in the midst of some pretty serious learning curves. During this season of partial "quarantine" and temporary cancellations of ministry events, we are reaching outside of our comfort zone in order to speak Jesus in new and different ways. As we mentioned in our last letter a couple of days ago, we've been praying about taking small steps and expanding our technological vocabulary with things like "youtube channel," podcasting, webinars, facebook live....  And, while (for Peg) some of this isn't new, for Bay, it's an entirely different world (almost like going overseas to a new mission field)... This is a culture outside of our normal perimeters. We asked you to pray with us....and, we know many of you have (because we've heard from you). So, ministry in a world with Coronavirus will continue, it will just have some new looks.

Peg will keep posting her blog.  She's researching what it might take to do a podcast. She's mustering up the courage to face a video camera and open up the world of messaging in 5-8 minute increments. As well, she'll continue to do some counseling, along with mentoring (often through Zoom or FaceTime). And...who knows where all this might go from here...

Bay has already posted his first youtube video on his newly subscribed channel. He (shock of all shocks) opened a Facebook account (our girls' first response:  "Daddy! Has the world come to an end?"). We've ordered a microphone and a tripod to make our attempts a little more "professional, " but decided not to wait and get busy making changes from the get-go! So, we are going to give you two links (hopefully they will be attached): 

1.  Bay shares a five-minute, 41-second message he's entitled, "Get Your Spurs On..."  During this season, let's learn to spur one another on in a positive fashion, and keep sharing Jesus.

Let's "get our spurs on" and continue biblical encouragement throughout this crazy new season of life for however long it lasts.
