Sunday Worship

Dear <<First Name>>,

This week seems to have flown by with so much going on.  The news and social media feeds have not stopped providing a stream of constant updates about the current crisis.  Some of these have been extremely useful, while others have been less so.  Once again our wider Baptist family organised an online prayer gathering on Thursday evening with over 1000 people joining in from all over the country and no doubt other church groups have been organising similar gatherings.  There will also be a national time of prayer on Sunday evening at 7pm.  The links to both of these gatherings are further down this email.

Within our own fellowship I have heard that a number of people have had to self isolate for various reasons, which brings the situation much closer to home.  Those of us with children are in the process of adjusting to hosting school at home and trying to keep as much of a sense of normality as possible.

In an effort to try to keep this same sense of normality for the rest of us, Kim, the girls and I will be hosting a time of worship tomorrow morning, live from our front room, at 10:30am.  While this won't be the same as being together, my hope is that we will be able to share in a collective act of worship and to continue seeking Father God together at this time.  To join us, please follow the link to the livestream, which you can find further down this email, and this will take you to YouTube.  Just click on the play option in the middle of the video to start.  You don't need to have an account or to log in to view the livestream, however, if you do log in, there should be a live chat option running to so you can add comments, questions, prayer requests and messages.  Alternatively, if you don't have a log in please feel free to send text messages to 07778600366 and I'll try to read them out during the livestream.

Also on Sunday we'd like to host a Zoom virtual gathering.  There will be two to choose from, one at 4pm and one 6pm.  Feel free to join in with one or both of them as it would be great to try to connect in this way.  You can follow the link below to the Zoom gathering and this will take you to the Zoom website.  It will ask you to download and run a small file.  Just follow the instructions onscreen.  Don't worry, this is the client app that you need in order to take part.  Once the session has finished I'm pretty sure that the client app is removed.  Alternatively you can install the Zoom app onto your mobile device and you can get this from the links to the app stores further down this email.  When you open the app enter the following meeting ID number: 875-497-9663.

Hopefully I'll be able to see some of you tomorrow.  In the meantime, may you have a restful evening, aware of the peace and love of our Father God.

With every blessing,

Please bear with all of us at this time as we get to grips with news ways of staying connected.  While some may take to this naturally, others may need a bit more encouragement and help.  If you are unsure of anything and would like to join in please do ask.

Because of the urgency involved in getting in touch with as many people as possible, I have sent this email to everyone I have an email address for who is connected to our church.  I am aware that for some this will be a lifeline while for others it may well be unwelcome or irrelevant.  If you do not wish to continue receiving emails from us, please feel free to unsubscribe using the option at the bottom of this email.
