Welcome to our e-Bulletin

Welcome to our new e-Bulletin. This is designed to keep members of St Michael's, Croydon in touch with the life of the Parish and the wider Church at this time of uncertainty.

Please keep in touch with the clergy: we will be glad to hear from you, and assure you of our prayers.

Please keep an eye on the dedicated page on the Parish Website for further updates.

Public Worship & Parish Life

In accordance with the advice released yesterday from the Archbishops of Canterbury and York, all public worship at St Michael's is suspended until further notice.

Likewise, all meetings and other aspects of church life (the choir, Sunday School, serving team, study groups, PCC meetings etc) are suspended.

We are very sorry that this is the case and will keep the situation under regular review

What now?

Public worship might be suspended but the prayer of the church definitely is not. The clergy will be offering the usual daily round of worship (Morning and Evening Prayer and Mass each day), praying for all our parishioners and for all affected by this pandemic.

If you would like to join us in the recitation of the Office at home or to follow the Mass readings, this website is a very useful resource, and the same version as we use in Church each day.

We are investigating the possibility of live-streaming our services, and will keep you updated with our progress.

Church Open Each Day

There will be an opportunity each day for people to come to Church to pray privately. The Blessed Sacrament will be exposed for adoration and silent prayer, and a Priest will be available to hear confessions.

Resources for prayer will be available for use in church and for you to take home or to distribute to those you know cannot get to church.

This week, the opening times are:

Wednesday 18 March: 10.30am - 1.30pm
Thursday 19 March: 10.00am - 1.30pm
Friday 20 March: 10.00am - 1.30pm
Sat 21 March: 10.00am - 1pm
Sunday 22 March: 10.00am - 1.30pm

Stay in touch!

It is vital that we stay in touch as much as possible.

Please be in touch with Fr Tim or Fr Philip at any time (details at the very bottom of this page). We will always be
glad to hear from you with any requests for prayer, updates on parishioners and their loved ones, and if we can assist in any practical way.

If you know that someone is alone or vulnerable at the moment, please try (as far as is possible and appropriate) to check regularly how they are and if they need any assistance.

Please, if possible, share the contents of this message with those who do not have regular access to internet or email.
