Dear BNS and BCS Family,
Wow, what a crazy time this is! We at Boulder Nordic Sport and Boulder Cycle Sport are hoping that you and your loved ones are healthy, safe and happy as we all navigate this unprecedented situation.
Times like these have an incredible way of focusing us on the things that really matter like health, family, friends, and community. While the spread of COVID-19 is frightening, hopefully, we can appreciate the positives that might come out of being forced to slow down and isolate ourselves. Time with family and time outside exercising is a great way to stay healthy and keep a positive mindset during stressful times.
Our mission is to help people enjoy technical sports and create positive change in the world through cycling and cross-country skiing. We will continue to stay open as long as we can operate safely while protecting our customers, staff, and the communities we serve. We did not make this decision lightly, but we feel it is important to support people getting out and exercising for their health and mental well-being.

We are instituting extra cleaning protocols to ensure our stores are clean and safe while also emphasizing order pick-up and shipping options that provide alternatives to our standard in-store services. In-Store Precautions and Order Options
At BNS and BCS we are taking safety precautions at our stores to ensure the health of our customers and staff while we work hard to keep you riding and skiing without interruption. We have implemented extra cleaning protocols following CDC and common-sense guidelines and we offer remote shopping options to minimize risk. Our stores will remain open for in-store shopping as long as we feel we can offer a safe environment, but that may change with local conditions and mandated shutdowns. Please check bouldernordic.com for the latest info on our hours and status at each location before heading out. Thanks for your support during this challenging time, we really appreciate it!
Shopping Options
- Shipping: Shop online or over the phone - we are offering $5 shipping for orders under $100 with free shipping on orders over $100.
- Pick up in-store: Call us or shop online and we will get your order ready and notify you when it is available for pickup. Let us know you are at the shop and we will bring it outside, make a verbal confirmation that you're there to pick up your order, and leave it for you to grab and go. *Note that some items may require a transfer from another BNS location and may not be available for immediate pickup. Call for details.
- Shop in-store: We will maintain in-store shopping as long as conditions allow a safe in-store experience. Please do not come in-store if you have ANY symptoms of illness, recently traveled internationally, have had contact with a sick person or have been in a hot spot where self-quarantine has been recommended. We will ask everyone coming in the store to wash hands upon entering and follow social distancing guidelines of keeping 6 feet of space between people.
- Service Drop-off: Similar to our pickup option, we can receive service work either shipped in or dropped off while keeping adequate space. Bring in your gear for end-of-season service and stone grinding, call us to discuss the service you need and answer any questions you have, then arrange a time to drop off your gear with us outside the shop.

Stone Grinding and End of Season Service
|
|
Grinding continues! It's easy to ship directly to our location in Minneapolis or safely drop off your skis at any BNS store. See above about details of how to drop off skis for service work safely and without having to set foot in the shop.
The offseason is the best time to get your skis in shape for when the snow falls next year. If it's time for a stone grind, do it now while you know what you need and there is no rush. If it's time to put away the skis for the year, we offer our summer ski service that includes cleaning and running the skis through the hot box for $45. The wax is left on over the summer and then we scrape and brush the skis in the fall when you're ready to ski again. The skis are protected all summer and instead of getting dirty and drying out, they are clean and absorbing wax all summer and fall. It makes a big difference!
To send in skis for grinding, simply fill out a grinding form on our website, box up your gear, and send them our way. We can even ship you a ski box for a small fee.
